Into features of textured umber are set cowry shell eyes, a fierce mouth with jagged teeth, projecting tongue and an arrow-shaped nose that plunges from a dark brow. The darkened cheeks cleverly act as both cheeks and as a second pair of eyes. The septum is pierced and the ears have holes that would have once been adorned with earrings.
